Kris began at Sockburn School in 2007 in his role of Deputy Principal and teacher of Room 2. He leads the Senior Syndicate which includes Room 1, 2 and 5. Kris is currently responsible for online assessment, literacy sustainability, Pasifica achievement, Science and our new website.

What a year!!

Who would have believed we would have been subjected not only earthquakes, but school closures due to snow as well.

Today Tuesday 16th August Jude, Kris and are supposed to be flying to Wellington - not looking great for getting away. Well we will see.

Welcome to my blog.

I've been at Sockburn School now for over 4 years, teaching in Room 2 and assisting with the management of the school as Deputy Principal. I have loved my time here and am excited about the school's future direction and plans.

The staff at Sockburn are currently participating in Mathematics professional development reflecting on how the subject is taught in the school and how we can improve the outcomes for the children we teach. This is very exciting!
