A Busy Term 1
Room 1 has had a busy 10 weeks. This term we have worked hard on our recount writing, completed a Geometry unit on transformation, studied some famous leaders and decided which of their leadership skills we would like to have, completed the 'Friends for Life' health programme, discovered our learning style and drawn some quality pictures to tell our Sockburn Learner's story. We used these pictures in Powerpoint presentations of the story. You can see some of our pictures in the photo gallery.
Another enjoyable part of Term 1 was having some senior students from Hornby High School come each week and teach us small ball skills. We really appreciated them and their coaches coming to help us. There are some photographs of this in the photo gallery too.
Term 2 will be another busy one as Hagley Sport, Action Sport, Festival Choir and Dancing Like Stars get under way. The lunch time ukulele group will also continue. So watch this space for more on these and other term activities.
